References to both J.R.R. Tolkien: A Descriptive Bibliography (St Paul's Bibliographies / Oak Knoll Books, 1993) by Wayne G. Hammond & Douglas A. Anderson and Neil Holford's online bibliographical ‘companion’ TOLKIENBOOKS.NET—AN ILLUSTRATED TOLKIEN BIBLIOGRAPHY are ubiquitous to this blog; it's taken for granted that anyone reading this will be familiar with these bibliographical resources. I may occasionally, somewhat lazily, slip into referring to them only as ‘Descriptive Bibliography’ or ‘Hammond & Anderson’, ‘Holford’, etc; invariably, neither will be footnote referenced. All other formal referencing, if present, should be self-explanatory.
Good
luck locating a hard copy of Descriptive
